A busy day to end 2007

We're back and it's the last day of 2007 and when I ponder upon what I did for this last week of 2007, I can't remember it well. All I know is that the time just flies. One moment we were in Singapore for Christmas and the next, it's already last day of 2007.

We did manage to go down to Pavillion to snap some photos (planned to upload some but I can't find my cable :S ), go to Low Yatt to shop for gadgets and yesterday, managed to go to Ikea to survey the list of furnitures to add to the small-room-turn-into-walk-in-wardrobe. Plenty to fit into my lil wira tomorrow (fingers crossed).

Later today we got year end party (Jazzmint, WJ and a few school frens) at Aud's place. It's going to be a mellow party, just some time chatting and eating yummy food cooked by Aud's mum and also Kepong crab.

So, Happy New Year to all and also to myself. May the year ahead be a prosperous 1 exp to us.

Subtitling : is it important for you?

Whenever I watched a show, be it movie or series, I must not have subtitle to be shown. It is not because I am very good at listening or wat. It is because with the subtitle flashing through out the show, my attention will be on the subtitle instead on the show. Yeah, my focus is word then picture but I do appreciate subtitling . Especially when it's hard to understand what they talk especially those Korean & Japanese shows. I really appreciate the English subtitle.

Some good deeds

It's the end of the new soon and we will begin a whole new year... why not we give something good to someone that's in need of need. Since it's the season of joy, we should spread some joy to those really needy people so they can feel the joy as well. As for us, we donated our clothes (some vy new one) to the charity near our place. You can try donate something useful or maybe you can even do a car donation to this Car Angel company ( a special non-profit organisation that uses car & other donations to make videos for kids and teens. So far, they have given away over 2.4 million videos. To see a sample of the video, please click here. ) Why wait, spread some loves to other now...

Second Home?

Have you thought of having a second home , a place that allows you to break away from work and pressure. A place meant for relaxing the mind with beautiful scenery.... it can be anywhere in Malaysia or somewhere far, like New Zealand or Switzerland. Yeah, I won't mind having that kind of home.... a place to retire.... maybe not that far away but if it must be Malaysia, beside KL, I will choose KK :)

Ouch *_* massages are welcome!!

Time is really not enuf and I am stealling some lunch time today to blog. Yes, I am still working and the office are quite empty. Infact, I on my Christmas Songs now to light up the mood in the office (my corner only 4 people working)

I am trying to tidy up the house before Gerald arrive tomorrow morning & at the same time, going to malls to shop for presents to bring to Singapore for his cousin's daughter & son. So, what I did yesterday was mad dash here n there. Managed to get 2 presents, few more to get by today and I didn't manage to clean the house :S (Sure kena nag tomolo). Then tomolo got wedding dinner at Sekinchan at 5pm. Can you believe it? It's 'goh tong' tomorrow but now tak jadi to have dinner with family but must have the tong yuen nevertheless! The yummy chocolate tong yuen by my dad (He did this for my pre wedding dinner & everyone loves it)

So, I thought that year end is going to be leisure days for me but then again, it's not. Preparing for Christmas + Financial Year End (work) + Gerald coming back = busy + aching upper back for me. Maybe I should get my exercise routine back on track (
exercise equipment are provided in office, must really make myself to use it next year) .

Anyway, I managed to set up the Christmas tree (finally!!) at the lil corner of the living room but a few piece of decos are still MIA (must wait for Gerald to come back & look for it coz he bought it from Doha last yr). So, here's the lighted up Christmas tree :

Our lil christams tree is finally lighted up and decorated.

When time is not enuf

The month of December comes and goes by very fast. I am not sure if it's just me or everyone does feel the time is not enough for this month. I goes to work and finished work in just a blink of time and then it's one week and then another... Now it is already nearing Christmas (No time to do my paid post as well).

I still remember buying the christmas cards early of the month and wanted to set them up but up until today, it's still sitting at the corner of my house. The only early stuff that I managed to do is hanging the wreath at my front door and that was doing it in November (just in case I have no time in December, & pheww.... lucky I did that.... else, it will sit somewhere in the house as well)

Only yesterday did I manage to set up the christmas tree (half way, still missing the lights) & that also thanks to my dad & mom to bring the tree out from the store. Tonight I must go back and complete the decoration and light the tree up... After that, I need to clean the messy table, clean to sofa, move all the junks back to where it belongs before Gerald is back this Sat & he surely will nag me for that (for I am a very lazy person).

This Thursday will do all the remaining stuff & also to meet up with Kwai Fun.... wah... really lots to do but so little time (that exclude work stuff).... I haven't even mall hopping finish to see all the beautiful Christmas decoration this year..... Sigh.... I hope they will still be up till new year coz I won't be around this Christmas...

When our car throw tantrum ....

Sigh..... 6th Dec 07 is really a day to remember. Not a good day but the worse day of the year. Here's what happened : Half way driving to work, I heard this funny sound from my car and suddenly saw the temperature shoot up till nearing the HOT. So, dilemma of pulling aside or keep driving coz vy near to office already and thank god I make it to office and call for help from office. To make it worse, it's a rainy day... sigh ....

So, what's wrong with this little missy of ours? Got all over heated and I running up and down during lunch time to check on her after feeding her with water. Finally, found out she's leaking somewhere.... got to call tow truck to tow her to hospital in Balakong to be fixed. Told my boss and off I went to fix her.

I am so happy that MAA cover part of the towing fees ( I just paid RM80) and they provide the latest towing truck (look below). So, off we go to the hospital (worshop) and diagnose her real problem. Got some good news, just the metal pipe leaking, so, just going to cost RM 190. Got it fixed by end of the day.

Then, on Sat, my worst fear came true.... this lil car of ours broke down again and this time it's major... radiaotor burst and casket might be having problem.... so, now sitting in the workshop pending to be fixed. Sigh..... what a way to end 2007.

Stair + Lifts = Stair Lifts

He he... what you get when you married your stair with lift? *LOL* Stair Lifts is what you will get :p Funny ah or cold joke?

I got affected with the current Ribena advert on TV ... the one with Ms Lemon met with Mr Ribena in Indian music enhanced background. This particular advert really caught the attention of my lil niece of 9 months. She will quickly turn her head to the tv once she heard the music....

Health Concious

People is getting very health concious (even though they still continue to eat those not so healthy food) and I can notice that most of my friends are doing the same. I even know that a close friend of mine just purchased 1 fitness equipment and she's so eager to try it out. As for me, I rather go to the gym or at least, the yoga center and exercise :p This is because I know I will be lazy at home, watching TV *LOL*

Hidden Treasure at Old Klang Road

Backdated post

Back in October, I had my first dinner date with colleagues in this very hidden Japanese Restaurant in Old Klang Road. It's really like a hidden treasure of Old Klang Road coz if you're not told about it, you wouldn't know about this great place. It is well hidden at the parallel road just before the 1st Shell station from Mid Valley Direction.

This place even have private room that is fully tatami furnished ( vy Jap feel) but you have to book in advance, a great place to enjoy good food and small event esp if you're armed with a pro camera, snapping all the time. As for the photo below, it's taken by my slim Sony T10 and my colleague's DSLR camera.
So, what food is good? He he, everything but most of us prefer the cold soba (green tea or tempura set) and also the Ocha ice cream served with red beans.

HDMI - so canggih

When I heard about HDMI, I was like "huh.... @_@ what is that?" So, thanks to google, here's what I know about HDMI cables -> High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a licensable audio/video connector interface for transmitting uncompressed, encrypted digital streams. Sounds very canggih, right? I still am not very sure of the use of the cable but I think it is some cable tat connect the pc to some recording device (for music production, I guess)

BAT BOB Dinner

Backdated post

Year end is always pack with fun activities and dinner party. These year is the same for my company. Just 2 weeks after my teambuilding in Langkawi, we had our final Zone 3 Meeting and annual Best Of the Best Award Dinner. What's different for this time was the event of the Zone Meeting. Instead of indoor activities, our organiser decided to do a twist and had it outdoor and the venue is out of KL but not too far - Bangi Equatorial Hotel.

For people like me, the outdoor activities really burn all my energy and also my skin.... you can see the 2 tone arm of mine here and 1 of my colleagues face is as red as cooked lobster!!! I had no photo of the activities coz am too busy with participating and not getting electrocuted, wet and concentrate in doing the best Mexican wave railway station; not to mention being the protoplasmic hand of the amoeba. It's fun but it's too hot.... we didn't manage to finish the games coz rain decide to join in the fun at 4pm.

So, we check into our day use room, rest and prepare for the BOB dinner. Though it's not as posh as the year before (we had it in Sunway) but the people do make the difference. We manage transform ourselves from sporty look to gala dinner. The food is ok only so, we decided to go out snap photos. Here're some photos of that night......

The Driversity Hunt

I am back from a very tiring treasure hunt - Driversity Hunt. Not only am I tired but I faced my fear and also got sun burned on a very hot Saturday. Meanwhile, I am still collecting all the photos taken during this event and post it up (with some thoughts of mine) later of the week. Here's the final product of our treasure hunt - palm prints of all participants....

Gearing up for Treasure Hunt

It's friday and after 1 whole week busy with work stuff, I'm finally gearing up myself for tomorrow's treasure hunt. One thing good in my co. is that we have this yearly hunt organised for the staff. We just need to pay some registration fee which is around RM200. It's really a good deal coz after you divide into 4 people, I just pay RM50. What I get back from there is a night stay at a hotel, enjoy myself and the chance to win the hunt - prizes....
This year, we are heading down south to Johore and it's a driversity hunt - a combination of diversity, driving and treasure hunt. But the worse part of this hunt is to wake up early in the morning ..... have to be at office by 6.30am and will flag off at 7.30am and it takes 9 hours to complete the hunt. What differ this year is that it's a combination of amazing race, fear factor and treasure hunt *Whoa!!!!*. I hope I won't pengsan by the end of the hunt.... and also not to get dark coz now I got 2 tone arm *sob sob* (thanks to my Langkawi team building and also Zone Meeting).
Ok... I shall cross my finger to win the hunt....

Ariel is a big girl now

Backdated post

Our little niece in Kota Kinabalu is a big girl now even though she is just 19 months. She can walk and talk and drink finish half cup of Yoyo Ice. Look how she enjoyed the drinks... Yummy.....

The above photos was captured on our 2nd day back in KK during our September trip. We had our usual Dim Sum breakfast at Foo Peng and then headed to Palm Square and Warisan Square to have some window shopping together (Big BIL family, 2nd BIL family and both of us).

Ariel enjoyed so much of the big empty place at the Palm Square coz she can walk around it. This is all trained by her mummy, Natalie who always make sure to bring her out during weekends (so that she won't scared of people, which is quite brilliant and then, next time, can go shopping together *he he he*).

Dreaming of Cupcakes

Backdated post

I think I am addicted to cupcakes already. It has been in my mind since my first bite of it way back in August (my birthday cake). Then I ordered 1 box to take back to KK and another box for Gerald to bring back to Doha. My last order was back in Sept for my company Sept Birthday bash (yet to be posted). My fav is the belgian chocolate cupcakes.... Yum Yum...

But then again, I got addicted to it when Jazz show me this lovely cupcake photo in the internet and it really look so yummy. So, what I did to satisfy my hunger is to do a LO of it so that I can see it when I want *The lovely cupcakes above was by Cupcake Momma in SG*. And finally I got to taste her cupcake in Nov coz of Cairo's birthday * I wallop 4 regular cupcake, 4 mini cupcake *. If I don't mind to carry some small hand luggage, I would have tapau 1 box home from Cairo's party.

KL Live & Loud Concert 07

I heard about this concert on MY FM and never knew it is such a big event until my colleague asked me if I am interested in going. Then only I go search about it and whoa.... it's a 10 consecutive days event and the ticket is so expensive!! But then, having a look at the performing artists, it's really great, especially the Chinesse All Star Concert this coming Sunday.

You get to see • Zhang Hui Mei (A-Mei)

And that got my little heart interested in going.... and then she told me the good news! It's free if I am interested to go. Sure I am.... who wouldn't, right? And I am interested in going to the Turn on the Pop Concert on 1/12/07 but I will be away for my company Treasure Hunt.

So, is there anyone else going to the KL Live & Loud Concert 07?

Sayonara to iCute, Irashaimasu to HP

After saying bye bye to my Internet, now it's time to say bye bye to my iCute (my PC of 7 years). I am not sure what happened to it coz it was fine the last I used it. Only this Friday my bro complained to me and I went to check on it, and it's dead *sob sob* but then it's the chance of a lifetime to ask Gerald to sponsor for a new PC *evil grin*.
So, there I went with "Oh, PC ko liao, can't help it. If motherboard rosak, sure no hope (coz mine is P3 500, dinosaur era). I will go to Low Yat to search for a new PC tomorrow."
Hence, my Sat plan of scrapping turned to PC hunt. Got a few quotation but this HP really stands out coz almost the same price as the DIY, just a hundred bucks diff but then, I got Vista and warranty by HP. This is also because it is an old model, they just upgrade the parts and sell off. I dun mind as long as it is wat I wanted and we bought it yesterday and also upgrade the graphic card & RAM.
Here's what my new PC spec is like:
  • Centrino Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz
  • 2GB RAM
  • 250GB Hard disk
  • DVD RW lightscribe
  • DVD RW (additional)
  • Nvidia GEForce 8500 256 RAM (additional)

All the above is for RM 2002 and the most important part of this is, Gerald is sponsoring RM 500 while the rest will be share between me and Ah Wai (my lil bro). This PC should last for another 5-7 years.

Now all I need is my Internet connection to feel the difference of old and new pc.

Watches

When it comes to watches, I am very choosy in getting the right one for myself. It must be reliable, trendy but evergreen and most importantly, stainless steel or genuine leather material. The later part is due to my skin sensitivity to metals, hence, no fashion watches for me, no matter how nice it looks. When come to reliablity, there're a few Watches making brand in the market and I am sure that you have heard of raymond weil watches, Rolex and Tag Heuer (my dream watch brand).

My very own Dim Sum Chef

It's Friday and it's weekend for Gerald. Let me help him to blog about his new found hobby here...

Dim Sum making, my hubby's new found hobby in Doha. He was left with no entertainment (tv spoilt & internet connection is on & off - thanks to the Bandwidth Hoggers), so he found a way to entertain himself and killing time during his weekend by cooking. Cooking has always been in his blood but I never thought of him making dim sum from scratch *coz you can't get the skin there, so, he uses flour to make the skin*
Let me treat you guys to some homemade siew mai here :p

Checking Account

Having a checking account for me is easy coz my last job is with HSBC, so, all I need to do is give them my details and just RM 10 to open my account with them. All this is done in the comfort of my office in Cyberjaya, very hassle free. And I really love the convenient of the all in 1 account that I have with them.

Going wireless

If you're living in a double story house and you're so into internet, you will definately opt for wireless router than the conventional router. Me and Gerald are looking forward to get one of this but then, I must get back my internet connection at home. It has been almost 3 months since I apply for the phone line and internet, yet, it is no where near my house. Hence, the few blogging post coz I am still without internet connection now *sob sob*

Christmas in Singapore

When comes the time for Christmas, I will enjoy the walk at Orchard Road. Why? This is because the street is deck with beautiful Christmas decorations. I must say, it is the only place in this part of the world that have the Christmasy feel. Hence, this year I am going down again for Christmas *fingers crossing coz Gerald feel it is too rush*.

Oh, not to forget that during this time, there're lots of sales going on. Sales on all the clothing brands, shoes, bags and not to forget diamonds, esp the
diamond rings. They will be on half price!!! So, for those people tat want to get wedded, it's a great time to hunt ;)

Zzzzz.......

Does your hubby sleep earlier than you? Mine does and sometimes it is not a good thing coz he will start his orchestra. He really snores very loud and with rhythm some more :S

The worse was during our latest KK trip in Sept 07 where he snores very loudly until I can't sleep. I kicked him, slapped him and even tried waking him up so that he can change position to ease the snoring but it won't help at all. In the end, he has to sleep on the floor or I have to sleep terbalik (reverse).

BBGS - Nisi Dominus Frusta

It's been 12 years since I left my alma school, my beloved BBGS. It has been my other playground and can be consider 'family' beside my own home. Here's where I met all my close friends, friends that can be trusted with little gossips of my life and also to share the ups and downs of my life. Some even share the blogging community (^-^)

Sad to say, BBGS is no longer exist in the world, just in all BBGSians memory. The vast land of our beloved school has been changed to the posh Pavillion ... can't imagine that our school is so huge...

Anyway, I did this LO to just give a shout out to BBGS motto : Nisi Dominus Frustra when doing my DNTS way back in August.
The cupcake was special ordered from Happy Belly Bite just for a small reunion of BBGSians on 26th Aug 2007. Don't the uniform and the school badge look too good to be eaten!! If you want to know more of this gathering, hop over to Jazz's site to read about it.

Luxury Home

My favorite TV channel in Astro is the Discovery Travel & Living coz it always shows all my dream holiday destinations and also all the luxury homes in the world especially those by the beaches. Someday, I really wished I can own 1 of those houses or at least, let me stay for 1 year to enjoy the beautiful landscape and decoration of the house. Can you imagine yourself waking up from a soft huge bed, then walk into a beautiful spacious bathroom and then go down to the huge kitchen facing the pool to have breakfast..... *Day dreaming again*

Langkawi Teambuilding Trip

I am back from my teambuilding in Langkawi and here's the updates of the wonderful and tiring trip. I really lack of sleep during this 4 days but managed to recover during the weekend. Here's what I did during the 4 days.

Day 1 : 28th Oct 07

We took the 11am flight to Langkawi and reached around 12.30pm (AA didn't delay, so, that's really good). Our first activity of course is to fill up our tummy, so, we head for the Orchid Ria Restaurant in Pantai Chenang. Food is good but we make a mistake on ordering the Tiger Prawn coz that is really expensive!!

After that, we went to the airport again to get the 2nd batch before we start our mini tour around the island. We only stop by 2 places and the rest is just looking tru the bus window :p.
Here's our first spot : Cable car ride at Oriental Village to Gunnung Mat Cinchang. The cable car ride is scary (drizzling & wind) but thanks to the group, I dun feel the fear of height during this trip. I totally enjoy the run to the Cable bridge (suspension bridge) and posing for special effect photo (being blown by the strong wind as shwon in the bottom photo).

After that, we stop by Pantai Pasir Hitam (Black Sand Beach) but the beach is not as beautiful as during 2001 visit. It look a bit polluted and only my colleague dare to touch the balck sand while I snap photo for her and my other colleague captured this photo.

Day 2: 29th Oct 07

This is the day for serious stuff such as meeting, presentation and brain storming for the 2008 goal (it's a very long day as well, more tiring than physical activities). Though it is serious by day but during our lunch and dinner, it is another light & easy mood for everyone. Do you notice our nice baby blue t-shirts? It is custome made just for our team building *wink*

Day 3 : 30th Oct 07
After a day of long meetings, today is a day for physical challenge coz we are having Andaman Sea Pirates Challenge. Sad to say that the weather is not on our side (we have to face the heavy rain and the rough sea in a small boat and also not able to capture the photos of the entire challenge).

We are divided into 2 group, Yellow and Blue and are given 4 task to complete while we did island hopping. It's quite fun (minus the rain) and I enjoy the ride and the sight seeing. I get to jump into the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden (a wise choice coz the water is very warm), fishing in the last island (I caught 2 fish) & lastly, soak in the sea water while waiting for the storm to go away so we can get back to land safe.

Here's the task that we need to do :
  1. Quiz challenge, Charade
  2. Hunt for 'Turtle Eggs' and Chicken Egg and cook the Egg in 15 mins.
  3. Find the fishing bait in the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden (Pulau Dayang Bunting)
  4. Fish as many fish as we can to win the challenge.

After we set foot on land again, we had our lunch and some light games that brings the kids out of everyone of us. The games that we played came with interesting name such as Harry Potter Race and Mad Bull Race. In the end, we are very happy and even enjoyed a few games of beach volleyball before the BBQ Dinner.

Last day : 31st Oct 07
We have to check out at 12pm and catch our flight back to KL at 2.15pm. So, I had a short morning to do what I want & I decided to go for a dip in the swimming pool with 2 other colleague before packing our stuff.

Homey Helper

If you plan to buy or sell your home, you will definately need a real estate person help. It is not as easy as A B C coz I have went tru the whole process recently. I really appreciate the service, expertise and advice that I could get from the real estate agent so that all I need to do is just provide them the information, the price that I prefer and wait for the buyer to show up. Unless you're very into this whole buying and selling, it's really a wise choice to let the professional to do the job.

Pop Up Blocker

Won't you feel dislike or more to anger when you open a window and what you find is another few windows popping up with useless information such as advertisement or worse, the p*rn stuff and you accidentally click it. Next you know, your computer has gone into a slow motion mode, trying to load the advertisement of that site or you might get a bug. Well, if you really feel that, you might want to consider getting a popup blocker install to your computer. It will definately help in minimizing the pop up windows.

Party till 'bewitching hours'

One thing about joining my current company and team is the chance of partying till the wee hours. We believe the motto of work hard but play harder. So, if you see me partying in one of the pub or disco around town (hardly will go with frens or by myself), you know that it's time for us to break away from work and just have fun.

This photo was taken way back in June during one of our colleague farewell party at Hard Rock Cafe. When you say it's a party, what must not be missed is the never ending flow of beers - you can see that we have 2 towers of beers next to my picture. But we are sane enuf to know tat it's a night of no driving for those who love to intoxicate their body that night.

PPP : Theme Park

This is a sponsered post

Holiday seasons are near and I am sure that everyone is planning their last holiday of Year 2007. Since in most northern countries are stepping into the winter seasons and also Christmas are near, I think most people in the tropical countries would love to fly over there to enjoy the cold experience and also the Christmas feel of it. However, for those people who want to try out a different kind of holidays while in Northern country such as Uk, you might want to make a trip to the famous and oldest
Theme Parks in Pleasure Beach, Blackpool. This is indeed a good place for anyone, be it young and old.

Here's some exciting photos to tempt you for now *wink*

2007 F1 World Champion - Kimi !!!

Yes!!! Kimi won the race and the world championship title. It was very narrow for him and frankly speaking, if Hamilton has not suffered the lost in the start of the race, I dun think Kimi got the chance to grab the world champion title. Anyway, me & Gerald are way too happy for this.....
More over, the race in Brazil are dominant by Ferarri from the start. Massa & Kimi's car are practically flying throughout the race and because Kimi's car got more fuel than Massa, hence he overtake him during his pit stop and it's really a good strategy by Ferrari.

Around the world with PANCAKES

He he, after donuts, it's PANCAKES *LOL* .....

Well, this is actually the 1st outings from Gerald's 3rd Home Trip back in Sep 2007. Since the brats (Geralds's nieces) didn't get to hang out much with us when he's away, we decided to bring them out on Sat to The Curve area to window shop and also later on to get the stuff to bring back to KK.

I had tried this Paddington Pancake House alot but to them, it is totally new. They got quite excited when I told them that their entrees to desserts are all made from pancakes (got meat n stuff ler ). Since they are 4 of us, we ordered one each from different part of the world to try. I had Amsterdam ~ full of cheese and hams ; New York ~ pannekok with hams, cheese and sunny side up, another pancake dunno from where but got mushroom & sausage and lastly, the special linguini made out of pancakes *WHOA*

We enjoyed it very much and was very full by the time we finished travelling around the worl with the pancakes :p

Talk of the town - 'dOnuts'

After cupcakes, here's my another hunted down dessert - DONUTS !!! Yup, it's donuts and not just any donuts but J.Co donuts that are only available in the newly opened Pavillion in Bukit Bintang. The donuts are so tasty and soft that after 1 bite, you will want more!

They have lots of flavor to choose and I only manage to try 6 - Heaven Berry, Glazzy , Alcapone, J.Crown Oreo, Choco Mocca & Tiramisu. The best deal is to buy 2 dozen donuts coz you can save about RM 21 ( I manage to share with Bee Li and Kek Yee, so it is only RM 8.70 for 1/2 dozens of donuts).

For those who want to try it, do be prepare for long que if you were not there when it opens and especially on weekends and public holidays. I que for 20 mins yesterday but lucky I got kaki to chat with and drool with so the time seems ok for me then.....

Walking = Exercise

Do you know that by just walking, you are consider doing exercise? Well, of course it is not the normal pace walk but to walk at a pace where our heart beat a bit faster than usual so that we can burn the excess fat.

Gerald is just doing that in Doha and he really can walks quite far. His way of walking is to set a target mall around his neighbourhood and he will walk there with his trimming belt around his waist and a bottle of water in hand. I am amaze he can do that but when come to walking in shopping mall, he cannot tahan as long as me *muaha ha ha ha*

For people that do not like his way of walking, maybe can try
treadmills coz it is very convenient and you can do it anytime you like, rain or shine.

Popcorn anytime

I am sure that everyone enjoys having popcorns when they are watching a movie be it in the theater or just at home, sitting down (or lying down) enjoying our favourite shows ( I know my lil bro loves popcorn & he must have it everytime we watch a movie).

Well, let me introduce you to this home theater popcorn machines that is great for popcorn lovers and especially for family that have kids. You can just make popcorns the way you like it.

Information on Celine Dion tickets

Do you know that you can get Celine Dion tickets by juz a click? This is definately a great idea for fans that are busy and no time to que or for fans from around the world.

Results of the Wedding winner

Ta dah..... the result is out .... We have found the package that captured our heart and of course, it is more to their gowns and shops captured our hearts rather than the package at first sight (no you know how important the first impression is & to all the bridal gallery out there, please make sure ur bridal gown are displayed generously in a clean open concept room). Though the gowns are important, the service and the packages they offered are equally important. Hence, the best bridal shop that wins this hunt is De Casamia. They met all our requirement and to tip the scale, the sales person knows the bride's mum..... Now we only wait for the bride to confirm everything to seal the contract.

My new sunnies

Backdated post

Look at my new sunnies, I got it since dunno which month during the mega sales at 50% discount and now only I got the chance of showing it to the world *LOL*. It was a really a bargain coz where can you get a Gucci at that discount on a normal day (lucky my hubby didn't ngi ngam me when I sms him *phew...*).

Real Estate?

Real estate franchise is so hot now. It's selling like a hot cake coz people want to have extra money in their pocket and what's the best thing to do than trying the real estate. People now can afford a better living standard and hence, the demand of new houses are there. It's really a good way to have that big money earned in an almost effortless try (o, not effortless, you need to be familiar with what u selling and give good customer service but then, it's easier than hard sell something small, right?)

Lingerie Diva

Wink wink .... I am sure a lot of people will be captured by this title esp you know who *LOL* I wonder who invented the word lingerie ..... well, I know if I want to know, I can google it but lazy lar .... I am sure it's the French since it sounds so french & they are well known for their romantic nature. Hmm, sexy lingerie sounds so romantic and of course it is definately so sexy.... a gift for your lover (or your wife, mind you).

Accessories for TV

He he, tv also need some accessories to go with it so it will look better (not just us tat needs it, you know). Well, I am not toking about the necklaces or some frills & ribbons when I say that. It is the stands or the mount for the tv and stereo set. Have you consider plasma mount for your slim plasma tv? You can have it anywhere you want it ;)

A sundays of yesteryears

As I woke up this morning, it makes me think back of the Sundays that Gerald used to enjoy. Those were the days where he loves golf and he's very eager to go when there's opportunities. Those were the days that he will go to the golf section to look at the clubs and tell me wat is good for wat. I wonder if Cleveland golf clubs are one of those that he mentioned. Well, those were of yesteryears.....

Sunset Malibu

Dun you just love the name of this place? Sunset at the Malibu... such a romantic place to be.... but then, it's actually a drug rehab . When I virtually visit their place, it WOW me ... the place is really perfect for a holiday and you won't feel that you're stepping into a world of misery. You feel welcomed instantly and your mood will turn very light and ready to embark a new adventure of a lifetime.

The hunt begin...

Yes, today is D DAY...... d day for the wedding package hunt around SS2 area. You will see me showing my sweet & innocence side when doing the bargaining with the hard sell ladies in the bridal shop.... My goal is to find the best deal within the budget and the toughest thing is, next week is the gown fitting and photo shoot session ..... may the best bridal shop win my heart...

PPP : How I grow my money

This is a sponsered post
Some of my readers would be wondering why I have some post labeled as PPP. Well, this is because those PPP post are the blog reviews that I did to earn some pocket money and my pocket money piggy bank has grown a lot since my first payout by them. I will continue to grow my money in this piggy bank for my dream holiday to Europe (or the least, made it to UK with Gerald)

I can still remember my first reaction to this news brought to me by Jazzmint in April. That time I am still very blur on the facts about PPP and how to sign up and get paid (most importantly are the GETTING PAID by just doing some reviews in my very own blog). I can’t believe how this can be so true until I signed up for it and being paid 1 month after my assignment was approved via Paypal. Since then, it has been a routine for me to grab some post that I love and trust me, you really learn a lot from those post that you write. I did get a lot of information on those blog reviews that I did especially for health & traveling information.

Well, after a few months of seeing the money, I can’t wait to share across this cool news of PPP to all my friends who blog and some did really sign up for it (who dun want money, rite?). With PPP as the topic, I manage to get connected to some bloggers who are on PPP as well. Quite a cool way for blog hopping & growing money, dun you think?

Wedding Hunt

He he, not my wedding hunt but it's a hunt for my best pal. She's so far away that she got no time to do the planning in KL, let alone getting the perfect gown for her big day. So, what I offer (very eagerly) to help is to go hunt for the perferct wedding packages with her sis this weekend. Basically I have narrowed down to those few bridal galleries in SS2, PJ area coz their gown are far much better than those conventional bridal studio in Lokw Yew Road or Bukit Bintang area. I have a budget to meet also, which is about RM3000 for everything, so, the best choice is still SS2. Will post an update on this so that it will help those who are planning for their wedding.
I am so excited now that I can't wait for Sunday to come and next weekend as well.

Pampering in Kota Kinabalu

Please click here for credits

I am not a nail person but will always have my nails done when I am back in Kota Kinabalu. This is because of Gerald's good friend (Joey) has a profesional nail saloon. It's sort of a pampering session for me cum reunion session for them as well. I must say that her work is superb and I have 100% trust in her service & customer satisfaction (not to mention that she always gives us discounts). I can't stop myself in admiring my beautiful nails after that pampering session by her.

Here's her shop and if you do happen to be in Kota Kinabalu, do have your nails done by her.

Name : De Nail Place (O.P.I products used)
Location : Palm Square, Kota Kinabalu
Business Hour : 11am - 9pm (no walk in available unless they are empty slot available)

Essential Lighting

Do you know that with proper home lighting, a room will transform from a boring room to a beautiful room. Of course you need some furnishing but with just the lights, it plays the big role of it. There're lots of types of lighting available such as pendant, chandeliers, wall mount and the most common one are the recessed lighting that we use when we decided to do plaster ceilings.

Cupcakes + aeroplane

I think I caught the cupcake bug coz I am so in love with cupcakes after trying the cupcakes from Cupcake Chic. It's juz not enuf and I kept wanting more especially the belgium chocolate cupcakes that I had for my b'day. Since Gerald also loves cupcakes, I made another order and this time, the cupcakes get to sit in the plane and fly to Kota Kinabalu *wink*

But an unfortunate event happened to my lovely & delicious cupcakes *sob sob*. It didn't survive the trip to KLIA (dun want to point finger here) *sob sob* and I was so mad and it ruined my flight. Anyway, though it doesn't look as lovely as it should be, it still taste as delicious as ever be.

I thought I will never have the chance of showing the photos of the Home Sweet Home cupcakes until I saw Joanned uploaded it to her site. Here's how my cupcakes looks like. The Home Sweet Home is glitter gel (100% edible).....

Detox Programme

I really need to detox my body coz my skin especially my face are showing signs of intoxication. I dun usually have acne problem but since the pass few months, it has been popping up every other day & it refuse to go away *sob sob*. Then my beautician told me tat those pimples that pop up at the chin area meant that I have irregular bowel and those appears at the forehead is due to late night sleep (so true!!!). So, how to detox? Beside eating just fruits & drinking lots of water, I think I need more than that. There're so many detox programme available but most of them focus on colon cleanse. Anyone tried before?

My wedding band story

Getting our wedding bands are not easy coz I want it cheap & pretty (well, the cheap part is Gerald). So, it left me no choice but head South to Singapore with Bee Li to hunt for the perfect wedding bands. There’re lots of choices available & mostly are platinum or white gold set with diamond. I nearly got carried away (over the budget set by Gerald) until Bee Li showed me the pair of Rose Gold wedding bands with a small diamond for the perfect setting. I must sat, it’s really very pretty & the best part is, it’s on 50% discount, so, I got it at SGD 600 for a pair of wedding bands *smirk* and it is from the Aspial collection in Lee Hwa ...... But getting the ring size right is a bit tricky coz he's not there physically, so, I must follow my insticnt & finger size to judge *LOL* (lucky the size is correct) I feel so satisfied with the wedding bands when I showed it to Gerald, he love it.... nothing is better than a genuine compliment from hubby. But sad to say, the rings is sitting in the box now coz both of us dun wear rings... can't seem to develop the habit of wearing something on the fingers.

Me, lil bro & PS2

Me & my lil bro share the love for PS2 games especially the Final Fantasy series. We actually started with the older version of tv games and move on to PS then now it is PS2. I must say that having a brother that are so keen in playing games are great coz I no need to fork out to buy the games but just sit & wait for him to buy the latest one *evil sis* but then, I dun mind to share to buy once in a while especially those RPG with nice graphics. But since move back to my house, my tv cannot support PS2 but I have the old PS (thanks to my bro again), it has been a long time I have laid my hand on the FF10 (the FF12 is not nice to play with & way too complicated in battle mode).

Mid Autumn Festival

Today is the Mid Autumn Festival, also known as Mooncake Festival. This is the day for family reunion and to enjoy the night, eating mooncake, sipping tea and enjoy the full moon scenary. Since Gerald is back to Doha on Sunday, we had our 'Tang Lung' session on Saturday. It was a last minute idea to have the lantern set up, just for the feel of the festive mood. I even bought alot of moon cake this year *LOL* but the most memorable mooncake that I ever had were these little piglet mooncake in the cage aka 'Chu Cai Yuet Bang'. It used to be very cheap but now it cost about RM 1.80 per piece.

So, here I wish everyone a very Happy Mid Autumn Festival. I will have my cyber celebration with Gerald tonight (having mooncake together while chatting *wink*)

MRTA

We have been searching high & low for the best option in getting a MRTA / mortgage life insurance (since I know that Gerald has not gotten 1 for the house). Beside the conventional insurance that comes with the housing loan package, are there any other type of insurance that will give us a better deal ? (hopefully one that will give us back the money we invested when we dun utilise the fund, *choi* coz this is just incase, by playing safe). If you know a better way, do let me know.

Seizing the moment in KLIA

As the title say, I am taking every minutes available to get online even in KLIA now while waiting with Gerald for his check in to Doha at 12.55am. Yup, he's flying back tonight and that means 12 days has passed & today is the last day we spent together before another separation. I have managed to snap alot of photos and definately will take ages for me to blog it coz no internet connection yet *sob sob*. I wonder when I will have my internet at home.....

This is how we spent our last moment at home - packing & snapping photos of my heart-gift to my darling hubby to bring to Doha.

PU2B : Seeking help

Getting drug treatment is not an easy go doc & get medication to cure an ailment. In fact, it is like fighting a battle within your body coz the 'invader' will definately want to conquer the body & mind so that they can stay there. Hence, it is important to choose a reputation & homey center to get help. Conclusion is : never touch drugs in any form if you want a healthy fruitful life.

Mini house revamp

Yoooo hooooo....... finally today is the day that my toilet is getting a new WC and also a new sink. The work is carried out by Fai, Gerald's uni fren. I can't wait to see the new toilet and also the other improvement when I get back to KL tomolo nite. Hope it's a nice surprise coz the vessel sinks that I love won't fit to the constrained size of my toilet, so, I opt for a more contemporary style. There're more thing to add but will do it slowly. Once everything is done, will definately invites frens & family for a house warming *wink*

'Modelling' in Coffee Bean KK

Gerald has been back for 1 week and we didn't manage to take any photos or go out dating while in KL (coz I work till Fri). So, I suggest to go Coffee Bean (Damai area) tonite for some US time and thank god that I brought my camera along. We got this cozy sofa corner with a display cabinet that is great as base for my camera for photo snapping. I went crazy snapping at every single corner available *LOL* and when I checked on the camera, I snapped more than 60 photos in just 1 hour .... vy 'tai sau wok' until Gerald got the blind spot ..... & I bet all the people around us thought this lady is crazy coz take photo like there's no tomolo :p

Tomolo I plan to go Sutera Harbour or some nice place to take more photos before we leave KK on Thursday evening. Hope the weather permits & also time permits. We still have alot of stuff to buy back to KL & Doha and not to forget my pedicure session as well .... some pampering while in KK (^-^)

Safety in a knife

Knife is a very dangerous tool. If it is not handle with care, one will cut oneself or might put someone's life in danger especially small children. I am very scared when the knife is super sharp & nearly always lost my heart whenever I see people handle it carelessly. But then, I saw this safety utility knife on the net and I think that it is very cool. It is a must have for faint hearted people like me and also for family with alot of young children & old people. This smart knife really give you all the safety feature one needs in preventing cut.

Romantic lighting

Lighting plays a very important part in creating the ambience in a room. With proper design on the location of the track lighting / lighting points and also the use of downlights, it will transform a boring room into one that is warm and romantic room just like those we saw in the sample house. The next major house improvement will be the lighting in our house. My ideal lighting will be those romantic ambience in the room n living room with some hightlight on the framed masterpiece on the wall.

Inflatable animals

If you have nieces & nephews like us, you sure will manja them whenever you got a chance to see them. It has been a habit for us to buy gifts for them whenever we go back KK and esp nowdays, most of the gifts are from Doha. We almost run out of ideas on what to give them esp for Ariel (beside clothes & soft toys) & then I saw these animal inflatable. It bring me back to WJ's 'dog'. I think will get that for little Ariel when I get to Singapore.

Beautiful jewelery

Talk about jewelry, my eye will sparkle and I will automatically grin ear to ear *LOL*. Gerald know me best and no matter what he buy, for sure I will be extremely happy (who won't right?). So far, I have receive a few pieces from him and I have added some with my own money. One thing for sure is that big rocks dun suit me well. Maybe I'm too small to carry the big design or maybe my character dun bring out those bold design. Nevertheless, it is my favourite, be it real or costume jewelery.

Temp internet connection in KK

This is my 3rd day in KK and am I glad that I get the internet back (though it's just temporary but it's better than none, right). The next thing is to get the Photoshop software today and my scrapping can start and by thursday, I can upload everything to my blog and digital freebies site. I took so many photos of Gerald's little niece, Ariel that I can't wait to scrap it and upload it. Ok, now back to blog reading and some serious msn chat session after deprieve for so long.

Mini Trip 3 : Cameron Highland

It's been years since our last trip to this highland and we love the weather so much and the away from city air. Since Gerald is back and the Brinchang pent-house is available for use, I planned this short family trip to Cameron Highland. I extend the invites to Tina & the brats (Rachel, Annabelle & Joshua) *Gerald's sis family* since the kids love the highland as well.

1st Day:

We leave KL around 9am and head toward the North South Highway towards the new road up the hill (was told that it's wider & easier than the old road) but I dun feel like using that road again. Maybe because the Wira is so under power when climbing up the hill. It feels like a tortoise man ...... & since I am an impatient person on the road, I practically grumble all the way till I reach Brinchang. By then, we were all starved and head to Tanah Rata for lunch and check into the pent-house at Brinchang.

Since it's cold (coz raining), we decided to have steamboat at Tringkap where we found this restaurant that serve good & reasonable priced steamboat from our last visit. All we need is just call them and order in advance. It's such a yummy & warm dinner (^-^). After a heavy dinner, the best things to do is walk the night market and buy somemore food as supper *LOL*.

Here's the must try food:

2nd Day:

The next morning, I go for the hunt of the yummylicious fried pumpkin balls while the rest just enjoy the bargains for veges, fruits & dried products from Cameron. After the morning session (no breakfast), we packed our bags & check out from the hotel. It was raining zoo then & cold but we must leave the place before 1pm, else, the road will be heavy with traffic :( So, we berave the rain & made our way to Tanah Rata for quick lunch before going down the hill. The journey down the hill was fast & we reach KL in no time.

Attractions in Cameron Highland:

  1. Strawberry Farm : There're too many farm to choose to go & buy the fresh strawberry, strawberry jam & dried strawberry in honey (new additions).
  2. Cactus Valley : It's just located opposite our place (Star Regency) but we never go there. Instead, we went up towards Tringkap to see the cactus for sale :p
  3. Night Market : It's just below our place as well & I love to walk this night market. I can get alot of food to eat & a good place to shop for fresh veges & fruits. I managed to bought the strawberry jams & some fried vege for supper.
  4. Bees & Butterflies Farm : Bee Farm is free entrance and a good place to visit if you're interested in looking at the busy bees & buying the bees products. Butterfly Farm is almost the same as those in KL, so, we skipped that this round.
  5. Pasar : There're a few market that sells fresh veges, fruits & flowers along the Brinchang - Tringkap road. All you need is to lookout for the stalls in your left & right.

Here's some photos from Cameron Highland:

House Improvement

This is a sponsered post
Me & Gerald has come to an agreement on getting our house a little improvement or you can call it some replacement for the defective area where we neglect it previously (deem unimportant to my hubby). The first thing to be upgrade is the WC in our room coz it's defective & dun work wat it should. Second to go is the white ant attack bath door at the ground floor & I am hoping to get those foldable door. We need to install the gutter coz everytime it rains zoo, it's like mini waterfall with the impact of Niagara fall (imagine ur car is the lake). Thats about it, so far. Oh, has anyone heard about Double glazing ? I found this trustable Home Improvements in the net that provide your every need. Good for my friends in UK. As for us, we are getting Gerald's friend to do all the above improvement.

Little or big?

A little voice from my hubby when we touched on business opportunity:
Who doesn’t want to be come a boss, or exceed the threshold of employee pay. In our quest to make more money, business opportunity seems like the perfect vehicle. But the big question is how do we spot it? Opportunities are right in front of us. But most of the time, we’re crippled by financial aspects and the stigma of "will it work" syndrome. Unless we have minds of Howard Hues, opportunities will continue to present itself and slip pass us every day.
Hmm, that's not what I think, coz I think that we don't need to start big. We can always start something small and see what it goes from there. You never know unless you try ;)
